Stephanie received her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon.
Her clinical work at OCOM included interning at multiple Portland community clinics offering medical care to underserved populations, including acupuncture for low-income senior citizens, and supportive acupuncture treatment for patients in addiction recovery.
Additionally, Stephanie spent several months studying acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in Nanjing, China.
She is a skilled and compassionate practitioner, trained and experienced in most common ailments, with advanced training in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Her special interests include treating musculoskeletal injuries, women’s health and menstrual disorders, and emotional imbalances.
Stephanie strives to offer comprehensive care for each of her patients through acupuncture, Chinese herbal supplementation, Tui Na massage, nutritional counseling, and collaboration with other medical providers.
She cares deeply about the health and wellness of those in the community that she was born and raised in and is honored to be offering holistic health care in Fairbanks.
Whether addressing specific ailments, or simply providing alternative paths to wellness, Stephanie’s approach is to address the root cause of disease, rather than only treating the symptoms, and to provide comfortable space where patients feel supported so that they may achieve true healing and lasting wellness.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine that promotes overall wellness. There are countless conditions and symptoms that acupuncture have been said to help with such as chronic pain, anxiety and depression, allergies, menstrual pain and PMS, headaches.
In this minimally invasive procedure, your acupuncturist will insert thin needles into the skin to bring the natural inner workings of your body into proper balance.
Your acupuncturist may suggest you be seen weekly or more than once a week, over a period of several weeks or more. How long to continue treatments will depend on your response and advice from your acupuncturist.
